In embracing eco-viability, Keswick Island supports decentralised services. As such each residence is responsible for providing its own energy supply, as outlined in the Keswick Island Design Guidelines and Building Code. Design principles should endeavour to maximise natural energy sources as efficiently as possible. Electricity must be provided by each lot owner via self-managed solar photovoltaic cells and battery storage that have been installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified person.
All developments are to be self-sufficient for the number of appliances installed, the maximum demand and to cater for normal household usage. Wind power generation is also permissible subject to approval by the Architectural Review Committee.
For further details, refer to the Keswick Island Design Guidelines and Building Code, which is governed by the Architectural Review Committee. Alternatively, contact Keswick Developments on 1300 889 290.
